Permission was given for Ritchie Star (IRE) to wear a hood in the parade ring which was removed before going to the start.
The apparent improvement in form of the winner Champagne Terri (IRE), which had never previously been placed, was considered.

P Keatley was interviewed and explained that the filly may have benefitted from the first time cheekpieces and appreciated the softer ground on this occasion.
His explanation was noted and the filly was routine tested.
The performance of Jack Randall (GB) which started favourite but finished unplaced, was considered.
The representative of Tim Easterby could offer no explanation for the gelding’s performance.
The Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of the gelding failed to reveal any abnormalities.
Following the race, Sean Davis reported that Potenza (IRE), placed seventh, was never travelling.
