Permission was given for Iconique (GB) to wear a red hood to post.

The Veterinary Officer reported that Iconique (GB) was a grey and not a bay as published in the racecard.

An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after interference from approaching the 1-furlong marker through to the winning line involving the winner, Arctic Fox (GB), ridden by David Nolan, Lucky Draw (GB), placed third, ridden by Laura Coughlan and East End Girl (GB), placed fourth, ridden by Ben Curtis.

After hearing evidence from all three riders and viewing recordings of the incident, it was established that Arctic Fox (GB) had hung-badly right-handed for some distance resulting in East End Girl (GB) being slightly hampered on two occasions and carried off its intended line, before being beaten approximately ¾ of a length, whilst Lucky Draw (GB) had been carried off its intended line by virtue of sustained intimidation, before being beaten ½ a length.

The Stewards were unable to be satisfied that had the interference not occurred, that either Lucky Draw (GB) or East End Girl (GB) would have finished in front of Arctic Fox (GB) and accordingly ordered the placings to remain unaltered.

In arriving at their decision, Stewards considered that despite East End Girl (GB) suffering three separate pieces of minor interference, that mare was always being held late on and the ground and momentum lost, equated to less than the beaten margin.

In relation to Lucky Draw (GB), it was felt that despite the mare being moved several horse widths off her intended line inside the final furlong, there was never any contact from the runners to her inside and whilst her mount had been inconvenienced to an extent, Coughlan never had to stop riding or was prevented from riding a finish, nor did the incident appear to have any appreciable effect on Lucky Draw (GB)’s finishing momentum.

The interference was found to be accidental as Nolan had taken reasonable steps at all times to correct or prevent his mount from hanging right-handed into the path of other runners.

The performance of Iconique (GB), which started second-favourite and finished last of the six runners, was considered.

It was noted that Charlie Fellowes could offer no explanation for the filly's performance, other than James Doyle reporting that Iconique (GB) stopped quickly.

The Veterinary Officer reported that a post- race examination of the filly, failed to reveal any abnormalities.
