It was a fantastic opportunity and our horses were under the weather since January. Today is our first runners back since New Year's Day. Catriona O'Donovan, one of the co-owners, her husband Jerry died at Christmas and he was a huge supporter of the yard and today is for him because he'd have been roaring with joy if he was here today. He was a huge supporter of the yard and we would hardly be operating without Jerry. Jerry is in our thoughts at the moment. We might step him up in trip as he is learning to settle and I think he'll get three miles in time. We might have a look at something at Fairyhouse for him as we don't have many that would take us there so we'll go with him if he will take us there. It's great for the yard and we'd a mare touched off for second place earlier in the day so it's great to see the horses running well and great to be back racing. James Daniel Dullea, trainer
The Stewards interviewed Mr E. Mahon, rider of Capture The Drama, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that Mr. E. Mahon was in breach of Regulation 10.3(g), in that he had used his whip with the arm above shoulder height. Having taken his previous record in this regard into account, the Stewards suspended him for 2 racedays.
