Just inside the 2 furlong marker, Valley Of Flowers (IRE), placed sixth, drifted slightly left-handed at the same time as Sociologist (FR), placed fifth, edged slightly right-handed causing Starfighter (GB), placed second, to become short of room and switch off heels but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
The apparent improvement in form of the winner, Vision Of Hope (GB), which had never previously been placed, was considered.
The representative of George Boughey's explanation that the filly had benefited from the application of a first-time tongue tie was noted and Vision Of Hope (GB) was routine tested.
