The winner, Golden Chancer (GB), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Perth on 19 June 2021, where the gelding finished sixth of nine, beaten by 64 lengths.
Daragh Bourke’s explanation that the gelding was suited by the application of first-time cheek pieces was noted.
Golden Chancer (GB) was routine tested.
The performance of Special Brute (GER), which started joint favourite and finished unplaced, was considered.
The representative of Jennie Candlish could offer no explanation for the gelding’s performance and the Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of Special Brute (GER) failed to reveal any abnormalities.
