Permission was given for Danger Alert (GB) to wear a red hood to post.
An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after interference inside the final furlong when the winner Mutaany (GB), ridden by Jim Crowley interfered with Danger Alert (GB), placed second, ridden by Jack Mitchell.
The Stewards considered that the interference had not improved Mutaany (GB)’s placing as the colt always appeared to be holding Danger Alert (GB), and Danger Alert (GB) appeared to lose little momentum as a result of the interference to be beaten by a neck at the line.
The interference was found to be accidental as Mutaany (GB) stepped quickly right causing Danger Alert (GB) to become briefly unbalanced.
Following the race, Harry Davies reported that Nomaas (FR), placed fourth, ran too free.
