Oydis (GB), ridden by Harry Bentley, had to be led riderless to post.
Being satisfied that this was due to the filly’s unruly behaviour and the rider had made every attempt to get mounted on Oydis (GB) despite the filly’s reluctance, no further action was taken.
The performance of Dame Malliot (GB), which started second favourite and finished sixth, beaten by 13¾ lengths, was considered.
Frankie Dettori reported that the filly ran flat and Ed Vaughan’s explanation that Dame Malliot (GB) may have been feeling the effects of a hard race on Heavy going on its previous run was noted.
The Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of the filly failed to reveal any abnormalities.
Following the race, Jim Crowley reported that the winner, Enbihaar (IRE), slipped on the bend turning into the home straight.
