The winner Paddy The Chef (IRE), appeared to show improved form, compared with its previous run at Brighton on 20 August 2019 where the gelding finished eighth of eleven runners, beaten by 13 ½ lengths.
It was noted that Ian Williams could offer no explanation for the gelding’s improved form.
Following the race, Rhiain Ingram reported that Bug Boy (IRE), placed third, was slowly away, Trevor Whelan reported that Magic Shuffle (IRE), unplaced, hung right-handed.
