The winner Communique appeared to show improved form, compared with its previous run at Ascot on 22 June 2019, where the colt finished last of the eight runners, beaten by 21 lengths.
Mark Johnston could offer no explanation for the colt’s performance.
Communique (IRE) was routine tested.
Following the race, James Doyle reported that Masar (IRE) which started favourite and finished sixth, ran too freely; the Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination, during routine testing, failed to reveal any abnormalities.
