The winner, Eaton Miller (IRE) appeared to show improved form, compared with its previous run at Chepstow on 20 March 2019 where the gelding finished tenth of sixteen, beaten 82 lengths on soft ground.
It was noted that Tom Symonds’ could offer no explanation for the gelding’s improved form other than Eaton Miller (IRE) might have sulked in the blinkers at Chepstow, which had been left off on this occasion.
Following the race Fergus Gregory reported that Fight Commander (IRE), which was pulled up, was never travelling.
The Veterinary Officer reported that Heavenly Promise (IRE) , which was pulled up, bled from the nose.
