Made In Taipan made all for a very easy win. The gelding was unable to give 19lbs to River Liane last time out but met nothing of his calibre this time and has the potential to be a smart chaser in time. Trainer Tom Mullins was impressed with the winner and mentioned "we thought about going to Cheltenham but maybe we'll get there next year - possibly in a chase."

He added "Made In Taipan is getting better 'mind-wise' and is more settled now. I was slightly worried about the ground but couldn't figure out why he wasn't odds-on here today!"

Powerfulpaddy, a former point to point winner, ran a sound race but his jumping, like in his win at Punchestown last month, lacked a little fluency and jumped right at a few flights. However, he is a nice horse who can pick up more races once his technique improves.

Sky Hall appeared to be travelling well before the straight but failed to match the winner and was narrowly beaten for second spot while Impudent was a little disappointing.

Non-Runner was Flaming Sambuca (lame).
