Permission was given for Sparks Fly (GB) and Power Of Gold (GB) to wear a red hood to post.
Approximately one furlong out, the winner Sparks Fly (GB), hung quickly left, taking Alpine Sierra (IRE), placed second, off its intended line, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that there was no riding offence involved and it had not improved the placing of Sparks Fly (GB).
Following the race, Daniel Tudhope reported that Young Fire (FR), unplaced, was denied a clear run on several occasions inside the final 1 ½ furlongs.
