The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined American Tom (FR), trained by W.P. Mullins, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be coughing post race. Samples were taken for analysis. Subsequently, the trainer reported to the Stewards that American Tom (FR) was suffering from a lung infection following an endoscopic examination.
