An easy winner here with Streets Of Gold proving too strong for his rivals. Disqualified very controversially at Leopardstown over Christmas, the regally bred son of Sadler's Wells moved through to lead before two out and stayed on well for an easy five length win.

Trainer Christy Roche reported "I left the tongue strap and crossed noseband off today and thought he'd have the edge over these rivals. I have no plans now but he is a tough horse who was disqualified unfairly at Leopardstown."

Runner-up Barrow Drive ran a fine race. The 12yo chaser kept battling away under pressure and while a mistake at the final flight did not affect the outcome, it was an encouraging and game effort for a horse who hasn't won for over three years. It appears that there's life in the old horse still.

Silver Jaro, a good third in the Pierce Hurdle at Leopardsown in January, probably got 'stuck in the mud' and failed to pick up when asked to do so in the straight. A smart Flat performer, he is capable of a far better showing and rates a certainty for a maiden hurdle.

Chicago Vic would not have beaten the winner but was in second-place contention (in fourth) when unseating her rider two out. She is difficult to win with but can still pick up a conditions hurdle or chase.

Celtic Warrior made a slight mistake at the fifth and was under pressure from four out. He is a versatile sort but was not good enough here.

The non-runner was Easyfix (lame).
