He loves that ground and Penny Pepper finished second to us last year too so it's the same two and those Fast Companys love that ground. He just goes through it when others can't and I was delighted to see it barely raceable today. The ground, to me, is barely raceable and he was the only one who could handle it. C. O'Donoghue, rider of Master Speaker, trained by Martin Hassett, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount clipped heels on heavy ground in the closing stages and fell. The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Giant Spark (GB), trained by Paul Midgley (in GB), at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to have a slight abrasion on the right hind fetlock but to be otherwise post race normal. The Stewards enquired into the fall of Master Speaker, ridden by C. O'Donoghue, just before the winning post. Evidence was heard from C O'Donoghue, rider of Master Speaker, C.D. Hayes, rider of Great Minds and D.P. McDonogh, rider of Sors. Having viewed a recording of the incident and considered the evidence, the Stewards took no further action. The Turf Club Veterinary Officer reported to the Stewards that Great Minds trained by J.A.Stack was found to be lame post race.
