Inside the final furlong, the winner Gin Palace (GB), shifted slightly left-handed causing the rider of Alfred Boucher (GB), placed fourth, to have to take a slight check, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Gin Palace (GB).
Following the race, Ryan Moore reported that Lady Bowthorpe (GB), which started favourite and finished unplaced, was denied a clear run approaching the final furlong.
