Nicola Currie, the rider of SABYINO, placed second, beaten by a neck, had appeared to ride less vigorously for a few strides on the run to the line.

After being interviewed and shown recordings of the finish, Currie explained that the gelding had run green on this, his first run.

She added that SABYINO had pricked his ears at the crowd in the closing stages, at which point she had felt it prudent to put her stick down and ride hands and heels to the line.

Being satisfied that the winner, Little Hustle (GB), had come with a late, fast run down the outside and that SABYINO would never have beaten it, Currie's explanation was noted and no further action was taken.

Following the race, Isobel Francis reported Scuti (IRE), unplaced, ran green.
