Permission was given for Scottish Anthem (GB) to go early to post and to be mounted on the chute.
Approximately 1 furlong out, Island Brave (IRE), placed fourth, shifted marginally right-handed before being corrected by the rider, causing Berkshire Rocco (FR), placed third, to become slightly short of room.
After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
The winner, Hope You Can Run (IRE), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Newmarket on 4 May 2024 where the gelding finished seventh of nine runners, beaten 13 lengths.
It was noted that the representative of Charlie Johnston could offer no explanation for the gelding’s improved form.
Hope You Can Run (IRE) was routine tested.
Following the race, Harry Davies reported that Scottish Anthem (GB), placed sixth, hung badly right- handed.
