Permission was given for Wavelength (FR) to go early to post and to be mounted in the chute.
An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after interference approaching the line, involving the winner, Anglers Crag (GB), ridden by Henry Brooke and Track And Trace (IRE), placed second, ridden by Jonjo O'Neill Jr.
The Stewards considered that the interference had not improved Anglers Crag (GB)’s placing as Track And Trace (IRE) was only moved slightly off its intended line and lost no ground or momentum approaching the line, to be beaten a short head, while the winner, Anglers Crag (GB) always appeared to be holding the second, Track And Trace (IRE) in the closing stages.
The Stewards therefore ordered the placings to remain unaltered.
Brooke was cautioned for careless riding as he allowed Anglers Crag (GB) to drift left-handed without sufficient correction moving Track And Trace (IRE) slightly off its intended line.
