Permission was given for Bolder Bob (IRE) to be led to post early.
Approaching the final furlong, the winner, Zeeband (IRE), hung quickly right-handed interfering with Euro Implosion (IRE), placed third, which in turn caused Mondain (GB), placed fourth, to be checked slightly, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Zeeband (IRE).
An enquiry was held to consider interference approaching the final ½ furlong when the winner, Zeeband (IRE), ridden by Franny Norton interfered with Euro Implosion (IRE), placed third, ridden by Paul Mulrennan.
Norton was suspended for 2 days for careless riding having allowed his mount to drift right- handed without sufficient correction, causing Mulrennan to check Euro Implosion (IRE).
