The winner Desert Safari (IRE) appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Goodwood on 30 August 2020 where the colt finished seventh of ten, beaten by 7 ¾ lengths.
It was noted that the representative of Mark Johnston could offer no explanation for Desert Safari (IRE)’s improvement in form.
The colt was routine tested.
Following the race, George Rooke reported that Watchable (GB), unplaced, anticipated the start and hit its head on the stalls; the Veterinary Officer subsequently reported that the gelding had a small amount of blood in its left nostril.
