The winner, Xcitations (GB), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Kempton on 22 October 2023 where the gelding finished fifth of seven, beaten by 26 lengths.
Pam Sly’s explanation that the gelding has come on from its first run of the season was noted.
Xcitations (GB) was routine tested.
The performance of Jetronic (FR), which started favourite and finished placed fifth, was considered.
Harry Cobden's explanation that the gelding ran too free and hung left-handed throughout was noted.
Following the race, Gary Moore reported that the pace was too strong for In The Air (FR), which was pulled up, and that the gelding would benefit from a step up in trip.
