An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after interference approximately 1 furlong out at the wings of the final hurdle.
In the first instance Exelerator Express (FR), placed second, ridden by Robert Dunne, maneuvered left to avoid the hurdle wing giving a nudge to Six One Nine (IRE), placed third, ridden by Sean Quinlan.
The interference was found to be accidental as Dunne had to steer to avoid the outside wing and had not improved the placing of Exelerator Express (FR) as the distance between the 2 runners at the line was 3½ lengths.
In the second instance the winner, Le Cheval Noir (IRE), ridden by Craig Nichol, shifted slightly right-handed causing Exelerator Express (FR), be moved marginally off its intended line.
The interference was found to be accidental in that Le Cheval Noir (IRE) moved only fractionally right, and had not improved the placing of Le Cheval Noir (IRE) as Exelerator Express (FR) was only moved slightly off its line and lost no momentum or ground, and was always being held in the final furlong to be beaten a head.
They therefore ordered the placings to remain unaltered.
