The Stewards fined P.D. Deegan, trainer, ?350 for lodging a passport in respect of Suelou, in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards allowed the horse to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the vaccinations were in order. The Stewards informed Mrs John Harrington, trainer that Cockney Wren (GB), would have to be recertified before being declared to run from stalls again. The Stewards interviewed C. O'Donoghue, rider, concerning his late arrival to weigh out on Cockney Wren (GB), which resulted in him being substituted with D.P.McDonogh. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that the rider was in breach of Rule 196(v) and having considered his recent record in this regard, fined him ?400.
