Telecaster (GB), ridden by Oisin Murphy and trained by Hughie Morrison, had failed to parade.
The trainer, a Steward and Assistant Clerk of the Course were interviewed.
The Stewards accepted Morrison’s explanation that Telecaster (GB) left the Parade Ring behind Regal Reality (GB), which planted shortly after leaving the Parade Ring, resulting in Telecaster (GB) overtaking Regal Reality (GB) and becoming separated from the rest of the runners.
Morrison added that as Regal Reality (GB) continued to be unruly in the chute, he offered Telecaster (GB) as a lead for Regal Reality (GB), to help the colt go straight to post and avoid planting again in the Parade.
An enquiry was held into the unruly behaviour of Regal Reality (GB), which had planted on the chute several times and was reluctant to go to the start, resulting in the race being late off.
Sir Michael Stoute was interviewed and informed that any future similar behaviour from the colt may result in the horse being reported to the Head Office of the British Horseracing Authority.
Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that Regal Reality (GB), placed third, lost its right fore shoe.
