The winner, Duhallowcountry (IRE) appeared to show improved form, compared with its previous run at Newcastle on 28 March 2019 where the gelding finished ninth of ten, beaten 77 lengths.
Victor Thompson’s explanation that the gelding benefited from being ridden with more restraint on this occasion was noted.
Duhallowcountry (IRE) was routine tested.
Following the race, Conor O’Farrell reported that Echo Express (IRE), which was pulled up, was never travelling and did not jump fluently.
The Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of the gelding during routine testing failed to reveal any abnormalities.
