The performance of Bolshoi Ballet (IRE), which started favourite and finished unplaced, was considered.
Aidan O’Brien could offer no explanation for the colt’s performance.
The Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of Bolshoi Ballet (IRE), during routine testing, revealed that the colt had been struck into on its right hind in the early stages of the race.
Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that Hurricane Lane (IRE), placed third, had lost both of its fore shoes and that Mojo Star (IRE), placed second, had been struck into on its left fore.
