Silver Shade (FR) wore earplugs which were removed at the start.

The Starter reported that Silver Shade (FR) had put its hind leg on the running board and was removed from the stalls to be checked by a Veterinary Surgeon.

Having been deemed fit to race, the gelding was reloaded into the stalls.

Subsequently, the Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of Silver Shade (FR) failed to reveal any abnormalities.

An enquiry was held to consider interference inside the final furlong involving Kondo Isami (IRE), placed second, ridden by P J McDonald and Reverend Hubert (IRE), placed fifth, ridden by Sam Hitchcott.

Dylan Hogan, the rider of Olympic Theatre (GB), placed third, was also interviewed but found not to be involved.

McDonald was suspended for 3 days for careless riding as he allowed his mount to drift left under a right-handed drive causing Reverend Hubert (IRE) to be firstly checked and then subsequently denied a clear run to the line.

Following the race, Sam Hitchcott reported that Reverend Hubert (IRE), placed fifth, was denied a clear run inside the final furlong which prevented him from riding out fully to the line.

Luke Morris reported that Silver Shade (FR), placed seventh, was restless in the stalls.
