Permission was given for Monomyth (IRE) to go early to post wearing a red hood.
Inside the final half furlong, On Key (GB), placed second, shifted right-handed causing Triple Charged (IRE), placed fifth, to be caught on its heels and eased.
After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and it had not improved the placing of On Key (GB).
The winner, Andalseeyagraham (IRE), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Newcastle on 6 December 2024, where the gelding finished last of eleven runners, beaten 43 ¼ lengths.
It was noted that Nigel Tinkler’s representative could offer no explanation for the gelding’s improved form.
Andalseeyagraham (IRE) was routine tested.
Following the race, Clifford Lee reported that Triple Charged (IRE), placed fifth, suffered interference inside the final half furlong and Warren Fentiman reported that Blue Lakota (IRE), placed third, was denied a clear run approaching the final furlong.
