Permission was given for Dreadnoughtus (GB) to go early to post.
An enquiry was held to consider interference at the final furlong marker, when Dreadnoughtus (GB), placed eighth, ridden by Frederick Larson, interfered with Brute Force (GB), placed third, ridden by Owen Lewis, which in turn interfered with Sheldon Cooper (IRE), placed seventh, ridden by David Probert.
Being 7Ib Claiming Apprentice’s, both Lewis and Larson were offered the opportunity to be accompanied in the enquiry but declined.
Larson was suspended for 3 days for careless riding as he failed to take sufficient steps to prevent his horse from shifting left-handed causing interference to Brute Force (GB), resulting in Probert having to take a significant check when in between horses.
Following the race, Frederick Larson reported that Dreadnoughtus (GB), which started favourite and finished eighth, hung right-handed throughout.
