The Stewards enquired into possible interference about one and a half furlongs from the finish involving Gustav Klimt, ridden by D. O'Brien, placed third, Symbolization, ridden by W. Buick, placed fifth, Threeandfourpence (USA), ridden by J.A. Heffernan, placed fourth and U S Navy Flag (USA), ridden by R.L. Moore, placed second, where it appeared that Symbolization met with interference and was tight for room. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that any interference that took place was accidental in nature and took no further action
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Elarqam (GB), trained by Mark Johnston (in GB), at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
