Emma Jane has done well since being switched to Willie Mullins' yard and benefited from a good ride here. The mare had had jumping problems during the winter but Mullins reported "when we got her we ran her in a schooling hurdle and in a handicap hurdle, which seems to have helped her confidence. I thought Davy (Condon) gave her a fantastic ride and really switched her off and got her jumping. Emma Jane could develop into a Kerry National horse in time."

Vic Venturi has not won since October 06 and, although a difficult horse to win with now, ran a cracker and should win from his current handicap mark. He may be a candidate for the Galway Plate.

The Sawyer raced prominently before running out of steam before the last. This was his first run in Ireland and he ran a cracker.

Slyguff Rory continues on his merry way but is still a maiden over fences. He is frustrating to follow but does have an engine, when putting his best foot forward.

Mr Robert was closing in third when falling two out and was unlucky while favourite Penny Hall was never involved.

Bothar Na ran no race but was subsequently reported to be post race normal.

Non-Runners were Point Barrow (lame) and Oulart (withdrawn stiff).
