He was 7lb lower than last year and he loves the ground, he won a listed race before on soft ground. Unfortunately we don't get a whole pile of soft ground anymore, as much as we'd like. He's a great horse and the boys have had great fun with him. He'll run in all the big sprint handicaps for the rest of the year and hopefully we get another one before the year is out. He ploughed through it and battled well, we'll tip away with him and see what happens. It's great to start off the year on a nice note.

The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident inside the final one hundred and fifty yards involving The Highway Rat, ridden by W.J. Lee, placed second, and Harry's Hill (GB), ridden by M.W Hassett, placed sixth, where it appeared that both horses brushed off each other. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted
C.D. Hayes, rider of Jon Riggens, trained by Edward Lynam, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount reared up as the starting stalls opened
At the request of the Raceday Stewards, M. Mjoka, rider of Only Spoofing, trained by Kevin Thomas Coleman, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount jumped right out of the starting stalls
At the request of the Raceday Stewards, M.W Hassett, rider of Harry's Hill (GB), trained by Martin Hassett, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount went left out of the starting stalls
