The Stewards requested a report from Francis J. Flood, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of Peace N' Milan, placed first, as compared with its recent form. Francis J. Flood reported that this mare had shown her best form on heavy ground and her previous run on soft to heavy ground at Down Royal was not deep enough for her. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the content of the report. The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Golden Flowerpower, trained by Colin Bowe, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal. M.P. Walsh, rider of Golden Flowerpower trained by Colin Bowe, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount stopped quickly.

An extended handicap hurdle for four yrs old and upwards mares only (116 = 11st 10lb)
Weights - Top weight in the original handicap; shall not be less than 11st 10lb
Penalties - Winner of a hurdle race after calculation of the handicap to carry 6lb extra for each hurdle race won.
