A terrific three-way finish with Mantell putting his head in front on the line to grab the spoils.

Held up he took closer order three out and stayed on into contention after the next.

The Shernazar gelding went into a narrow lead approaching the last but a better jump by Flying Paragan gave him a length advantage.

He stayed on strongly on the Flat, however, wearing his rival down in the shadow of the post.

Flying Paragan threw down his challenge after the third last and led at the next. He stuck to his task gamely when headed before the last and just lost out.

One More Minute was the other one involved in the finish after rallying well late one.

A great jump four out saw him land in the lead. He was headed at the second last when slow and looked booked for third at the last but ran on well up the rail to get close late on.

That's An Idea was supported in the morning (7/2 to 2/1) but was easy to back on course (2/1 to 5/2).

He led for most but faded tamely when headed four out and was well behind when making a bad mistake at the last.

The Penitent Man was close in third before three out but was gone before the next while Designer Grey seemed to struggle a bit with his jumping.
