An enquiry was held to consider interference rounding the final bend involving LORD GEORGE (IRE), placed third, ridden by Adam Kirby, SEAFARER (IRE), placed second, ridden by Martin Dwyer and FINAL, placed fifth, ridden by Franny Norton. The interference was found to be accidental as Dwyer went for a tight but legitimate gap between the two runners, which on rounding the bend, resulted in LORD GEORGE (IRE) becoming unbalanced and causing SEAFARER (IRE) to shift left and FINAL becoming tight for room against the rail.
Franny Norton reported that FINAL, placed fifth, suffered interference.
Approximately 1 ½ furlongs out, SEAFARER (IRE), placed second, shifted quickly left causing interference to EDDYSTONE ROCK (IRE), unplaced, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
