An enquiry was held to consider interference shortly after the start involving SUZI’S CONNOISSEUR, placed fourth, ridden by John Egan; Haddaf (IRE), placed eighth, ridden by Marco Ghiani and Cent Flying (GB), placed third, ridden by Georgia Cox.
Being a 7lb claimer, Ghiani was offered accompaniment but declined.
Egan was suspended for 2 days for careless riding as he allowed his mount to shift left towards the rail when insufficiently clear, crowding Haddaf (IRE) for several strides, which in turn caused Cent Flying (GB) to be inconvenienced when bumped.
