Following the race, David Noonan reported that Dauphine Ereine (FR), which started favourite and was pulled up, made a mistake at the second fence in the back straight on the final circuit and was never travelling thereafter; the Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination, during routine testing, revealed the mare had finished lame on its right hind.
The Veterinary Officer further reported that Biddy The Boss (IRE), which was pulled up, had bled from the nose.
