Permission was given for Freedom Day (IRE) to be mounted in the chute, go early to post and to wear a red hood to the start.
Approximately a furlong out, Freedom Day (IRE), placed third, edged quickly left-handed causing Skilled Warrior (IRE), unplaced, to be eased momentarily by its rider, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Freedom Day (IRE).
The performance of Indiana Be (GB) which finished unplaced, was considered.
The rider, Daniel Tudhope reported that the gelding had not benefited from being unable to make the running on this occasion, starting from a wide draw in stall 12, something which the representative of Edward Bethell confirmed.
Following the race, Ben Curtis reported that Skilled Warrior (IRE), unplaced, hung right-handed from 3 furlongs out.
