An enquiry was held to consider interference on the bend leaving the back straight involving the winner, Vintage Clouds (IRE), ridden by Danny Cook and Midnight Tune (GB), which was later pulled up, ridden by Aidan Coleman.
Cook was cautioned for careless riding as he had allowed his mount to shift left- handed towards the rail when not sufficiently clear of Midnight Tune (GB), causing Coleman to take a slight check.
The performance of Acting Lass (IRE) which was pulled up, was considered.
The representative of Harry Fry could offer no explanation for the gelding’s performance.
The Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of Acting Lass (IRE) during routine testing found the gelding to be slightly lame on its right-hind.
Following the race, Tom Scudamore reported that Champers On Ice (IRE), which was pulled up, was never travelling; Nigel Twiston-Davies reported that Flying Angel (IRE), placed sixth, was unsuited by the Heavy going and would prefer a quicker surface; the Veterinary Officer reported that the gelding had lost both a left-fore and right-hind shoe and had also finished sore.
