He's been so consistent all year and deserved that. I'm delighted for the boys, they have been so good to me. I appreciate all the work at home from the lads. It's been a great few days. He has been holding his form and there is a Grade C handicap for him at Gowran on October 1st for him next - it might be a step too far but we'll see.

The Stewards received a request from Patrick J. Duffy, trainer of Courtncatcher, to substitute the nominated rider D. Meyler, with B. Hayes, due to D. Meyler being unavailable due to injury. Evidence was heard from the trainer concerned who stated that B. Hayes had ridden the horse at home and the conditional riders he had sought were unable to do the weight. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards allowed the substitution due to extenuating circumstances.
