Inside the final furlong, Bright Start (USA), placed second, shifted quickly left-handed, carrying Solar Screen (IRE), placed third, onto Corazonada (IRE), unplaced, whose rider had to take a slight check, but after viewing a recording of the incident it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Bright Start (USA) or Solar Screen (IRE).
Following the race, Charles Bishop reported that Seagulls Nest (GB), unplaced, was slowly away; the Veterinary Officer reported that the filly lost its left-fore shoe.
David Probert reported that Catbird Seat (IRE), unplaced, ran too freely.
