Permission was given for Midrarr (IRE) to go early to post and the filly wore earplugs throughout the preliminaries which were removed upon arrival at the start.
The performance of Midrarr (IRE), which started joint second-favourite and finished sixth, beaten by 20 lengths, was considered.
The representative of William Haggas’ explanation that the filly ran flat on this occasion having won at Wolverhampton 4 days ago, was noted and the Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of Midrarr (IRE) failed to reveal any abnormalities.
Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that Military Two Step (FR), placed fifth, was lame on its right-hind post-race.
