An enquiry was held to consider interference shortly after the start when Sands In Time (GB), placed fourth, ridden by Barry McHugh interfered with Fools Rush In (IRE), placed third, ridden by Jane Elliott.
McHugh was cautioned for careless riding as he allowed his mount to shift left-handed towards the rail when insufficiently clear, causing Elliott to take a slight check.
Approximately ½ a furlong out, the winner Harmony Lil (IRE) edged marginally left-handed causing Sands In Time (GB), placed fourth, to be checked in its run, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Harmony Lil (IRE).
