An enquiry was held to establish why a Groundsman’s fork had been left leaning against the running rail approximately 2 ½ furlongs from the line during racing.
The Clerk of the Course and the Head Groundsman were interviewed.
Having heard their evidence, the Stewards ordered a report to be forwarded to the Head Office of the British Horseracing Authority.
