Permission was given for Rabinal (GB) to wear a red hood to post.
Leaving the stalls, Valtellina (IRE), placed second, jumped right-handed causing Rabinal (GB), placed fourth, to be short of room.
After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Valtellina (IRE).
The winner, King Cabo (USA), appeared to show improved form, compared with its previous run at Newbury on 25 July 2024, where the gelding finished sixth of nine beaten 10¼ lengths.
Luke Dace's explanation that the gelding had benefited from a uncontested lead on this occasion, was noted.
Following the race, Jack Doughty reported that Buy The Dip (GB), which started favourite and finished third, hung left-handed and Callum Hutchinson reported that Maxzeno (GB), placed fifth, hung both ways.
