The Stewards interviewed Mr P.J. Cody, rider of Quaresome, concerning his use of the whip in closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Mr P.J. Cody, rider, stated that this was his first time in a close finish and he just lost count but apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found Mr. Cody in breach of R 10.3(g)and (i) and having considered his record they suspended him for 2 racedays
