An enquiry was held to consider interference shortly after turning into the back straight, involving the winner, Dibble Dabble (GB), ridden by Daniel Muscutt and Subaltern (IRE), placed third, ridden by Marco Ghiani.
The interference was found to be accidental, as Muscutt had made a quick forward move on Dibble Dabble (GB) and improved around the outside of Subaltern (IRE) before the gelding shied away from Dibble Dabble (GB) as that filly also edged slightly left-handed causing the rider of Subaltern (IRE) to take a check when getting close to the heels of Northgate (GB), placed fourth.
