ANNIE'S DREAM looked a real game sort over hurdles at Limerick when second (impeded close home) eight days ago and again her willing attitude was in evidence here as she provided her handler Lawrence Walshe with his first winner under Rules.

DENANTO couldn't match the three length victor's toughness whilst ALWAYS ON TOP was seen to swish her tail (not for the first time) when beaten in the final furlong.

The gambled-on BALDINI (10s in the morning into 3/1 favourite) disappointed her supporters. HOUSE AROUND on her return from a 1020 day absence ran quite well, not surprisingly for a daughter of Orpen on soft ground. Trainer Stephen Michael Cox reported that BALGRIFFIN didn't handle the ground.
