An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race following interference after jumping the last hurdle involving the winner, Accidental Rebel (GB), ridden by Paddy Brennan and High Tech (FR), placed second, ridden by Charlie Hammond.
The Stewards considered that the interference had not improved the placing of Accidental Rebel (GB) as High Tech (FR) was initially intimidated off its line, losing little momentum.
Prior to the ½ furlong marker High Tech (FR) appeared to have just headed Accidental Rebel (GB), who then went on again to win by an extending ½ length at the line.
Brennan was suspended for 2 days for careless riding, as despite using his whip in the correct hand, he allowed his mount to continue to drift left for a significant distance.
Following the race, Paddy Brennan reported that the winner, Accidental Rebel (GB), hung left handed.
